Rosanne Marcus Riddick '76 had this to offer: "This is a picture of my daughter,
Sage, who is now eight, and swims in the summers for the Westford Racquet and Fitness
Club in Westford, Massachusetts. Sage was born during our four year stint in Berkeley,
California, and thus has an appropriate Berkeley-type name.
"In keeping with the tone of your recent submissions, I recently hit an overhead (in
tennis, not in a business presentation) that made me feel like Serena Williams. This
achievement, however, cannot be quantified like a triathlon victory, or a master's
record, but I think it has value, at least to my life. For those of you who have
developed a post-graduation aversion to water, or who have not been voted most likely
to be snapped up off the beach for a Baywatch episode (see recent YSA news), I recommend
doubles tennis. You can fulfill your competitive needs, and practices are fun. I can
play tennis all day, but my attention span for swimming is about 5 minutes.
"My husband, Ray Riddick '74, and I are coaching our daughter's softball team this
spring. I also helped out with coaching her swim team, and tried my hand at a little
soccer coaching last fall. Although I coached swimming for almost 15 years in the '80's
and '90's, there is something to be said for an athletic contest that gets over in an
hour or two.
"I am now a professor at UMass Lowell in the College of Management. It's a great life right now, as I have plenty of time to spend with Sage, Ray, and our new dog, Skippy."

From Lyn Askey Jutronich '94: "No real 'news', but here's an update: Been in
San Diego for almost seven years, love it, and am never moving again. Married for just
over four years to a South African guy (yes, he had his green card before I
met him). Am the Executive Director of the San Diego Princeton Review office,
and love that too this company is even more cult-like than the swim team!
Been swimming with UCSD Masters on and off and doing ocean races in the
summer."
